Studio Etiquette

To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone, please follow these guidelines when attending classes at Pilates & I.

Punctuality:

  • Arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your class begins. This allows time to sign in, get settled, and ensures classes start promptly without disruptions.

Appropriate Attire:

  • Clothing: Wear comfortable, form-fitting attire without zippers, buttons, or embellishments that could damage the equipment.
  • Footwear: Grip socks are mandatory for hygiene and safety. Ensure your feet are clean before class.

Personal Hygiene:

  • Fragrances: Refrain from wearing strong perfumes or colognes, as some individuals may be sensitive to strong scents.
  • Lotions: Avoid applying body lotions before class to prevent residue on the equipment.

Hair Management:

  • Secure long hair away from the face and equipment to prevent distractions and potential hazards.

Equipment Care:

  • Usage: Handle all equipment with care. Avoid actions that may damage or misalign apparatus components.
  • Cleaning: Wipe down equipment after use with the provided cleaning supplies to maintain a hygienic environment.

Personal Belongings:

  • Store shoes, coats, and personal items in the designated areas. The studio is a no-shoe zone to maintain cleanliness.

Electronic Devices:

  • Silence all mobile devices upon entering the studio. To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, avoid using phones during class.

Communication:

  • Injuries: Inform your instructor of any injuries or physical limitations before class begins.
  • Feedback: Feel free to ask questions, but keep conversations low to avoid disrupting others.

Class Reservations and Cancellations:

  • Booking: Reserve your spot in advance to secure your place in class.
  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to accommodate others on the waiting list.

Food and Beverages:

  • Only water is permitted in the studio. Please refrain from bringing food or other beverages into the practice area.

Respectful Behavior:

Maintain a positive and respectful demeanor towards instructors and fellow participants. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

By following these guidelines, we can create a harmonious and supportive environment for all members of the Pilates & I community.
